What this tool calculates

The calculator applies a user-selected fixed percentage to the current bankroll. It does not estimate edge, volatility, losing-streak probability, or an optimal stake.

Stake = bankroll × stake percentage ÷ 100. Potential profit = stake × (decimal odds − 1).

Results use the assumptions shown on this page. Actual settlement may differ under operator, jurisdiction, or market-specific rules.

Worked example

With a $1,000 bankroll and a 2% setting, the stake is $20. At decimal odds of 2.00, a full win returns $40 and produces $20 net profit.

Tips and limitations

  • Use decimal odds from the same market and settlement period.
  • Keep unrounded inputs; rounding is applied only to displayed results.
  • Check operator rules for voids, deductions, overtime, limits, or special settlement.

FAQ

What is percentage staking?

It sets each stake as a chosen percentage of the current bankroll rather than as a fixed currency amount.

Does percentage staking prevent large losses?

No. Repeated losses and an unsuitable percentage can still cause substantial drawdown.

Should I recalculate after every bet?

If you intend true percentage staking, update the bankroll before sizing the next stake.

Is this the same as the Kelly Criterion?

No. Kelly uses an estimated edge and probability; this tool applies only the percentage you enter.

Are potential winnings part of the bankroll input?

Use only funds already included in your defined betting bankroll, not uncertain future returns.
