Formula and calculation

Express a series of net betting results in standard units and compare the result with total money staked.

Units won = total net profit ÷ unit value. Yield = total net profit ÷ total staked × 100.

Calculations are informational. Actual grading, limits, deductions and payouts follow the operator’s rules.

Worked example

Net results of +80, −100, +60 and −100 total −60. With a 100 unit size, that equals −0.60 units.

Assumptions and limits

FAQ

Should a losing stake be entered as negative profit?

Yes. Enter the full lost stake as a negative net result, such as −100 for a lost 100 stake.

Should returned stake be included in profit?

No. Enter net profit only; the returned original stake is not profit.

Can stakes vary between bets?

Yes. Unit result uses total net profit, while yield uses the actual sum of all stakes.

What does one unit mean?

It is a user-defined reference stake used to standardize results.

Is yield the same as ROI on starting bankroll?

No. Here yield uses total amount staked as its denominator, not starting bankroll.
