What this tool calculates

It divides the planned stake by the selected fraction of bankroll and compares the result with current funds.

Required bankroll = planned stake ÷ (stake percentage ÷ 100).

A stake percentage is a risk limit, not evidence that the underlying bet has value.

Worked example

A 25 stake limited to 2% of bankroll requires 1,250. With 800 available, the funding gap is 450.

Tips and limitations

  • Confirm the odds format and market settlement rules before relying on the result.
  • Keep more precision in inputs; rounding is applied only for display.
  • This calculator explains arithmetic and does not predict results or recommend a bet.

FAQ

How much bankroll do I need for a 2% betting stake?

Divide the intended stake by 0.02. A 20 stake therefore corresponds to a 1,000 bankroll.

What percentage of bankroll should one bet use?

There is no universal safe rate; lower percentages reduce exposure and extend survival through losing runs.

Does a larger bankroll make a bet less risky?

It reduces the effect of a fixed stake on total funds but does not improve the bet’s probability or expected value.

Should bonus funds count as betting bankroll?

Only if they are withdrawable or you explicitly model their restrictions and turnover risk.

Why does the required bankroll rise when stake percentage falls?

The same stake represents a smaller fraction only when the total bankroll is larger.
