How to use Keep Selected Audio Segments

  1. Upload an audio file.
  2. Enter start-end ranges separated by commas and optionally add gaps.
  3. Create the joined WAV, preview it, and download it.

What this audio tool does

This editor copies only the requested sample ranges and concatenates them into a new AudioBuffer.

Each range is validated against the source duration, copied in the entered order, and separated by optional digital silence.

Output is uncompressed PCM WAV, so it can be larger than a compressed original even when it is shorter.

Supported formats and limits

Input support follows the codecs available to your browser. WAV is used for generated PCM output, while recording tools use a supported WebM codec. Large or long files require more memory and processing time.

Example and practical tips

Enter 0-12, 45-58 to keep an opening statement and a later answer in one file.

  • Use decimal seconds for precise cuts.
  • Leave the gap at zero for a continuous edit.

Which browsers work with keep selected audio segments?
