This tool applies a piecewise linear gain curve directly to every PCM sample in the source buffer.

Gain interpolates from start to midpoint and from midpoint to end; samples are clamped to prevent invalid PCM values.

Levels above 100% may clip. The peak readings make that risk visible before you use the result.

Supported formats and limits

Input support follows the codecs available to your browser. WAV is used for generated PCM output, while recording tools use a supported WebM codec. Large or long files require more memory and processing time.

Example and practical tips

Use 0%, 100%, 0% to make a simple fade-in and fade-out across the whole file.

  • Use 100% at all three points to preserve level.
  • Avoid boosting already loud recordings above 100%.
