How to use Tempo Practice Trainer

  1. Choose an audio file and wait for it to decode.
  2. Set the options for this job.
  3. Run the tool, preview the result, and download it.

What this audio tool does

Build a downloadable click-track practice session that moves gradually from one BPM to another.

The calculation uses decoded PCM samples or a genuine browser encoder; it never renames the source file as a fake conversion.

Browser codec support varies. When a required decoder or encoder is unavailable, the tool stops and explains the limitation.

Supported formats and limits

The source must be readable by the browser. Generated WAV files are 16-bit PCM; MediaRecorder exports use only a MIME type the browser reports as supported.

InputBrowser-decodable audio
OutputReal WAV, WebM, MP3, text, or CSV as stated

Example and practical tips

Try a short recording first, check the result player, then use the same settings on the full file.

  • Keep the source tab open during processing.
  • Use WAV when you need predictable sample data.
  • Listen for clipping or timing changes before downloading.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tempo Practice Trainer upload my audio?

No. Processing stays in this browser tab, and the selected file is not sent to a server.

Which files can I use with Tempo Practice Trainer?

Files that your browser can decode with the Web Audio API work best, commonly WAV, MP3, M4A, Ogg, and WebM.

Why can browser support differ?

Audio decoders and MediaRecorder encoders vary by browser and operating system, so unsupported formats produce a clear error.

Will the downloaded result match the preview?

Yes. The result player and download button use the same newly created Blob.

What happens when I press Reset?

The selected source, generated result, waveform, metrics, and temporary object URLs are cleared.
