Accumulators, parlays, round robins, and system bets create many combinations from a small set of selections. The tools in this category calculate combined odds, possible returns, required winners, combination counts, and the effect of one leg losing or being voided. They are particularly useful for system bets where the number of underlying tickets is not obvious from the headline bet type.
The headline payout can look attractive because multiplying odds also multiplies the effect of every pricing margin. Before building a large parlay, compare the combined implied probability with the probability you would assign to all legs winning together. If selections are correlated—for example, two outcomes from the same match—the simple product of independent probabilities may be misleading, and some bookmakers apply special settlement rules to bet builders.
Practical tips
- Count the actual number of combinations before choosing the stake per line in a system bet.
- Check whether the tool assumes independent legs; same-game selections can be correlated.
- Confirm how void legs are treated, since some parlays reduce in size while others follow special rules.
- Compare total amount staked with maximum return rather than looking only at the advertised combined odds.
- For round robins, review the return for several win/loss scenarios, not just the all-win case.
