How to use this calculator
- Enter total required credits for the program.
- Enter credits already completed.
- Add credits currently being taken.
- Add planned future credits to check the remaining gap.
Use this student credits calculator to check graduation credit progress, remaining credits, current semester impact, and whether the student is on track with planned future credits.
The result shows how much of the required credit total is complete or planned. A remaining gap suggests the student may need additional semesters, summer classes, or a heavier future load.
Only count credits that are expected to satisfy degree or graduation requirements.
A student needing 120 credits with 72 completed, 15 current, and 30 planned has 3 credits remaining after the current plan.
Graduation requirements vary by school or program, so enter the official required credit total.
Subtract completed, current, and planned credits from the required total.
They can be included as projected progress if the student expects to pass them.
Total credits alone may not be enough; degree categories and required subjects also matter.
Consider summer courses, higher future loads, or replacing non-counting credits with required ones.
