What the result means

The result shows whether your current reading speed and daily available time are enough to finish by the deadline.

Remaining pages = total pages − pages read. Required hours = remaining pages ÷ reading speed. Daily pages = remaining pages ÷ days until deadline.

Reading speed varies by text difficulty. Dense academic reading may require more time than ordinary pages.

Example calculation

A 320-page assignment with 120 pages finished leaves 200 pages. At 25 pages per hour, it requires 8 hours, or 20 pages per day across 10 days.

Tips for better results

  • Start with the hardest chapters while your deadline buffer is still large.
  • Use daily page targets instead of vague reading goals.
  • Add extra time for notes, summaries, or problem-solving sections.
