How to use this image tool

  1. Select an image from your device.
  2. Set the options for this job.
  3. Choose Adjust exposure, review the result, and download the new file.

What this tool does

Exposure is applied as a multiplier to the red, green, and blue channels. One positive stop doubles channel values; one negative stop halves them.

output channel = input channel × 2^EV

Clipped white or black detail cannot be recovered once it is absent from the decoded image.

Supported formats

PNG, JPEG, and WebP inputs supported by the browser. Output may be PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

Tips for better results

  • Make adjustments in 0.1–0.3 EV steps.
  • Watch bright highlights because positive exposure can clip them quickly.
  • Choose PNG when the input contains transparency.

FAQ

Does adjust image exposure upload my photos?

No. Processing runs in the browser. A pinned library is loaded only when needed, but your selected image bytes are not sent to it or to Callimage.

What happens to image metadata after using this tool?

Canvas-generated image outputs generally omit EXIF and GPS metadata. Keep the original if that information matters.

Why can the result look different from the original?

Decoding, pixel processing, color profiles, and lossy output encoding can change color or fine detail slightly.

Can I use this tool on a phone?

Yes, on a modern mobile browser, although large images may exceed available memory. The tool rejects unusually large inputs before intensive work.

Which files work best with adjust image exposure?

PNG, JPEG, and WebP inputs supported by the browser. Output may be PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
