How do I make a Polaroid-style photo without cropping it?

Can I add a caption below the photo?

Why does my portrait photo have extra space at the sides?

Portrait and landscape photos have different proportions. Fit mode preserves every pixel, so the frame may show side or top spacing.

Does the maker upload my photo?

No. The frame and caption are drawn locally with the browser canvas, although your browser still needs enough memory for the output size.
