How to use this office tool

  1. Upload a spreadsheet and choose the target sheet.
  2. Select outer trimming, repeated-space cleanup, or all-sheet trimming.
  3. Review changed cells in the preview and download the cleaned XLSX copy.

What this tool does

Remove unwanted leading and trailing spaces from spreadsheet text cells and download a cleaned workbook with a change count.

Only string cells are changed. The selected rule trims outer whitespace, optionally collapses repeated spaces, and writes a new XLSX copy.

Formula cells are left as formulas. Intentional spacing inside codes or fixed-width text should be reviewed before using collapse mode.

Does this remove spaces between words?

Outer mode does not. Collapse mode reduces repeated internal whitespace to a single space.

Are numeric cells changed?

No. The cleanup targets parsed string cells only.

Will formulas be trimmed?

Formula expressions are preserved rather than treated as ordinary text.

Can I clean every worksheet at once?

Yes. Choose the all-sheets option to trim outer whitespace across the workbook.

Does the output overwrite my file?

No. A new XLSX file is created for download.
