How to use this office tool

- Use the header-row field to identify column labels.
- The next column to the right is used as the numeric measure.
- Process and download the grouped CSV summary.
Group rows by a category column, calculate the average of a numeric column, and download the summary.
Rows are grouped by the selected category column. Numeric values from the following column are averaged per group.
The exported file is newly generated in your browser. The uploaded source remains unchanged.
XLSX, XLS, CSV, and TSV are accepted. Browser rewriting does not guarantee preservation of macros, charts, pivots, external links, or every advanced Excel feature.

The tool uses the column immediately to the right of the selected category column.
Non-numeric measure cells are skipped, while empty category cells are grouped under a visible Blank label.
