The checker reads the AudioBuffer created by the browser decoder and reports its actual decoded sample rate and channel layout.

No audio is altered. The downloadable result is an analysis report generated from real decoded buffer values.

The decoded sample rate may reflect the browser decoder's representation; container metadata and encoded bitrate are separate properties.

Supported formats and limits

Input support follows the codecs available to your browser. WAV is used for generated PCM output, while recording tools use a supported WebM codec. Large or long files require more memory and processing time.

Use the checker to confirm whether a WAV export is 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz before adding it to a video project.

  • Use 48 kHz for many video workflows.
  • A higher sample rate does not automatically mean better source quality.
