How to use this calculator

  • Enter steps for each day from Monday to Sunday.
  • Set your target daily step goal.
  • Calculate to see weekly total, average, goal days, and activity level.

What the result means

The result shows whether your daily movement is consistent enough across the full week, not just on one active day.

Weekly steps = sum of 7 days. Daily average = weekly steps ÷ 7. Goal achievement = daily average ÷ daily goal × 100.

Step goals are general activity indicators. They do not measure workout intensity or medical fitness.

Example calculation

With 63,000 steps and a 10,000-step daily goal, the daily average is 9,000 and the goal achievement rate is 90%.

Tips for better results

  • Raise low-step days first.
  • Use short walks after meals.
  • Compare goal days, not only weekly total.
  • Avoid relying on one very high-step day.

FAQ

How many steps should I walk in a week to stay active?

Around 70,000 weekly steps equals a 10,000-step daily average.

Is 50,000 steps a week enough for basic activity?

It can be acceptable, but it usually reflects light to moderate activity.

Why is my weekly step average low even with one high-step day?

One high day cannot fully offset several low-step days.

How do I know which day lowered my weekly step score?

Compare each day against your target and look for the largest gap.

Should I track weekly steps or daily steps?

Track both. Daily steps show habits, while weekly steps show total volume.
