Formula

Average utilization = Average RPS ÷ Capacity RPS × 100
Peak utilization = Average RPS × Peak factor ÷ Capacity RPS × 100
Required capacity = Peak demand ÷ Target utilization

What the result means

The main result shows the capacity required to carry estimated peak request load at the selected target utilization. Secondary values expose peak pressure and remaining capacity.

RPS capacity must be measured at the same gateway scope and configuration as observed traffic. Quotas, burst buckets, integration latency, and regional failover may require separate checks.

Example calculation

At 2,500 average RPS, 5,000 RPS capacity, a 2.5× peak factor, and a 70% target, peak demand is 6,250 RPS. Required capacity is 8,928.57 RPS; current average utilization is 50.00% and peak-adjusted utilization is 125.00%.
