Target emissions = baseline × (1 − target reduction)
Target intensity change = 1 − target emissions ÷ [baseline × (1 + area change)years]

The main result is the total emissions reduction required. The intensity result adjusts for the entered change in floor area and helps separate portfolio growth from building efficiency.

A 1,500 t CO₂e baseline with a 40% target requires a 600 t CO₂e reduction and a 900 t target budget. With floor area growing 2% annually for eight years, intensity must improve by 48.8%.
