Formula

Net daily capacity = annotators × hours/day × labels/productive hour × utilization × (1 − rework rate). Days required = target batch ÷ net daily capacity.

What the result means

Net capacity is the number of accepted first-pass-equivalent labels expected per working day under the entered assumptions. It is not a service-level guarantee.

If rework itself consumes the same team hours, the simple net-output model is appropriate for planning. Complex queues may require a separate workflow simulation.

Example calculation

Twelve annotators working 7 hours at 65 labels per productive hour, 80% utilization, and 6% rework produce about 4,106 net labels per day. A 100,000-label batch takes about 24.4 working days.
