Use the metered or otherwise documented volume that would be consumed without the reuse or efficiency project.

Why is a system efficiency input needed?

Not every recoverable gallon becomes usable product water. Efficiency accounts for process losses and unavailable recovered water.

Does the calculator include sewer savings?

It shows water savings only. Add avoided sewer or discharge charges separately if they apply.

Can annual savings exceed baseline use?

No. The calculator rejects a project reduction above 100% and caps usable savings through the entered recovery and efficiency factors.
