What this tool does

The filename stem is normalized, transliterated where the browser can do so, stripped to lowercase ASCII words, and joined with hyphens.

Normalize → remove marks → lowercase → non-alphanumeric to hyphens → deduplicate

Non-Latin names without an ASCII transliteration become “image”; numbered suffixes keep every generated slug unique.
