For every data row, nonblank cells are packed toward the left while their original order is preserved.

Does shifting cells left change row order?
No. It closes empty positions inside each row but keeps the rows and the order of nonblank values.
Are header cells shifted?
No. Rows above and including the selected header row are kept in their original positions.
What spreadsheet formats can Shift Spreadsheet Cells Left read?
It accepts XLSX, XLS, CSV, and TSV files. Advanced workbook objects may not be preserved when a new workbook is written.
Are uploaded files sent to a server?
No. Parsing and output generation run locally in the browser; the page does not upload cell data.
