How to use this office tool
- Upload a workbook or delimited file.
- Choose the sheet and enter the header row.
- The first column is used as the category and the second as the amount.
- Review the grouped totals, then download the summary.
Group spreadsheet rows by a category column and total a numeric column without sending the workbook anywhere.
Groups nonblank category values, adds valid numeric values, and exports a new summary workbook.
Text, blanks, and nonnumeric amount cells are excluded from the total and counted in the on-screen report.
Reads XLSX, XLS, CSV, and TSV in the browser. The exact output format is shown in the tool controls.
| Format | Support |

| XLSX / XLS | Cell data; advanced objects may not be preserved |

Yes. Matching category text is grouped and its numeric values are added into one summary row.
Rows with a blank category are skipped so they do not create an ambiguous summary group.
Numeric Excel cells are included. Currency text containing symbols may need cleaning before it can be summed.
No. It reads the selected sheet and creates a separate summary workbook.
This browser-safe version uses the first column for categories and the second for amounts; arrange or copy those columns before processing.
