Styling text without making it unreadable
Decorative text can make a caption, nickname, heading, or casual post stand out, and these tools provide quick ways to change the visual feel of plain text. Depending on the tool, that may involve symbols, spacing, playful patterns, or Unicode characters that resemble alternate fonts. They are intended for lightweight creative use rather than formal typography.
The trade-off is compatibility. Decorative Unicode can be difficult for screen readers, search, copy-and-paste, usernames, and systems that expect ordinary letters. If the text carries important information, keep a plain-text version nearby and avoid styling the part a reader must understand or search for.
