Total transit time = Internal approval + Supplier processing + Production or picking + Transportation + Receiving and inspection + Contingency buffer

Inputs are calendar days. Convert working-day estimates before entry if the supplier or carrier quotes business days.

Should customs clearance be included for domestic orders?

Enter zero for customs when it does not apply, but keep receiving or inspection time in the appropriate stage.

Why is contingency shown separately from core time?
