Estimate how much dry cat food a storage container can hold and how long that supply may last. Container volume alone is not enough because kibble density varies, so this calculator lets you enter a measured bulk density. It reports usable food weight, supply days, and estimated monthly refills while reserving some headspace for easier closing and scooping.
Usable capacity (g) = volume (L) × density (g/L) × (1 − headspace %). Days of supply = usable capacity ÷ daily use.
Usable capacity is the estimated kibble weight below the reserved fill line. Days of supply translates that weight into a restocking interval.
