Formula

Base time = known time × (target distance ÷ known distance)^1.06. Predicted time = base time × (1 + fatigue %) + 0.18 seconds × extra turns.

What the result means

Extra turns add time separately because a shuttle is not equivalent to continuous running. Actual turn cost depends on court grip, technique, and line spacing.

The 0.18-second turn allowance is an editable planning assumption embedded in this estimate, not a universal performance standard.

Example calculation

A 100 m court test in 18 seconds scales to 57.7 seconds over 300 m. With eight extra turns and 4% fatigue, the prediction is about 61.4 seconds.
