What the result means
Cost per foot spreads gate and fixed costs over the entire run. Short projects can therefore have a higher per-foot result even when lineal rates are unchanged.
Confirm which labor and services are taxable locally. Surveying, utility relocation, grading, retaining work, and unusual gate automation may require separate allowances.

For 200 ft at $28 materials and $22 labor per foot, one $650 gate, $6 removal per foot, $500 permits, 7% material tax, and 10% contingency, the estimated total is $14,066.25, or $70.33 per ft.
