The source file is not uploaded. Keep a backup when working with important workbooks, because browser libraries do not reproduce every Excel feature.

Supported formats

XLSX and XLS files are read with SheetJS in the browser. CSV and TSV are supported where the operation has a meaningful tabular result. Advanced Excel objects may not be preserved.

FAQ

Can I extract Excel rows that contain a partial text match?

Yes. Matching is case-insensitive and checks every visible cell in each data row.

Does the exported file keep the header row?

Yes. The first row is always included above the matched records.

Can I search numbers as well as text?

Yes. Cell display values are converted to text for matching, so numeric values can be searched.

What if no rows match my search term?

The tool reports zero matches and asks for a different term instead of creating a misleading result.

Are formulas searched by formula text or displayed value?

The comparison uses the cell value available to the browser parser, not Excel's full calculation engine.
