The source file is not uploaded. Keep a backup when working with important workbooks, because browser libraries do not reproduce every Excel feature.

Supported formats

XLSX and XLS files are read with SheetJS in the browser. CSV and TSV are supported where the operation has a meaningful tabular result. Advanced Excel objects may not be preserved.

Yes. Select exactly two files, with the older version first and the newer version second.

Does the report include added and deleted values?

Yes. A blank-to-value or value-to-blank difference is listed as a changed cell.

Are workbook formatting changes compared?

No. This browser-safe comparison focuses on worksheet cell values, not styles, charts, or conditional formatting.

What happens when worksheet names differ?

The report compares worksheet positions and includes the source sheet names so renamed or missing sheets are visible.
