  2. Set the formula ratio threshold and preview limit.
  3. Select Find hardcoded cells, review the bounded preview, then download the new result.

What this tool does

Identify constant values that interrupt otherwise formula-driven Excel columns.

Input → validate and parse → apply the selected operation → create a new downloadable file

The source file is not uploaded. Keep a backup when working with important workbooks, because browser libraries do not reproduce every Excel feature.

Supported formats

XLSX and XLS files are read with SheetJS in the browser. CSV and TSV are supported where the operation has a meaningful tabular result. Advanced Excel objects may not be preserved.

XLSBasic workbook data
CSV / TSVTabular data where applicable

Tips for better results

  • Work from a copy of the original workbook.
  • Use a clear first-row header and review the preview before downloading.
  • Open the result in Excel or another spreadsheet app and confirm important formulas and formats.

FAQ

What is a hardcoded cell in a formula column?

It is a constant value in a column where most other populated cells contain formulas.

How does the formula-column threshold work?

A column is treated as formula-driven when its formula share meets the selected percentage threshold.

Are headers flagged as hardcoded values?

No. The first row is treated as a header and excluded from hardcoded-cell checks.

Will this calculate or validate the formulas?

No. It inspects formula presence and exports locations; it does not reproduce Excel's calculation engine.

What information is included in the audit report?

The report includes sheet, cell address, column header, hardcoded value, formula count, and populated count.
