What this tool does

Supported formats

XLSX and XLS files are read with SheetJS in the browser. CSV and TSV are supported where the operation has a meaningful tabular result. Advanced Excel objects may not be preserved.

Can I convert a comma-separated CSV to semicolon-separated CSV?

Yes. Choose comma as the source and semicolon as the output delimiter.

Does the converter handle quoted fields containing delimiters?

Yes. Papa Parse reads quoted fields and the exporter quotes values when required.

Can I convert TSV to CSV?

Yes. Select tab as the source delimiter and comma as the output delimiter.

How are spreadsheet formula injection risks handled?

Values beginning with =, +, -, or @ are prefixed with an apostrophe when text protection is enabled.

Will changing the delimiter alter line breaks inside quoted cells?

Embedded line breaks remain quoted in the exported delimited file.
