Formula

Heat emissions (tCO2e) = (Extra kWh × grid factor + Extra liters × fuel factor) ÷ 1,000

What the result means

The main result is the combined screening footprint. The exposed-emissions figure narrows attention to activities included in the climate-risk review.

Emissions magnitude is not itself a physical-climate-risk score. Location, hazard, vulnerability, adaptation, and financial materiality need separate analysis.

Example calculation

180,000 extra kWh at 0.38 kg CO2e/kWh creates 68.4 tCO2e. Another 2,500 liters at 2.68 kg/L creates 6.7 tCO2e, totaling 75.1 tCO2e.
