This calculator interprets the listed tool as utilization of the team’s available visit-hours. It compares completed visit and travel time with caregiver productive capacity, showing used hours, spare or overloaded hours, and the number of additional visits that fit at the current average duration.
Service-capacity utilization = visits × (service + travel minutes) ÷ 60 ÷ (caregiver FTE × productive hours) × 100
The percentage shows how much modeled field capacity is consumed. It is not physical-room occupancy, and high utilization can still hide geographic or skill-mix gaps.
The master-list title is retained for URL consistency, but the calculation uses the operationally relevant home care equivalent: field-service-hour utilization.
Twenty caregiver FTEs at 30 productive hours provide 600 field hours. Completing 380 visits at 60 service minutes plus 25 travel minutes uses 538.3 hours, for 89.7% utilization. The remaining time fits about 43 more visits at the same average duration.
