Period capacity = stations × (60 ÷ minutes per vaccination) × efficiency × hours/day × operating days

What the result means

Capacity is the number of vaccinations the modeled station workflow can complete, assuming supplies and upstream screening keep pace.

Observation space, registration, consent, cold-chain handling, and staffing may impose a lower limit than vaccination stations alone.

Example calculation

Ten stations averaging 10 minutes per patient produce 60 theoretical vaccinations per hour. At 85% efficiency, capacity is 51 per hour, 408 per eight-hour day, and 2,040 over five days.

Should walk-in demand be included?

Capacity is independent of demand, but reserve appointment slots or run a separate demand scenario if walk-ins are expected.

Can stations have different cycle times?

Calculate each station group separately when workflows differ materially, then add their capacities.

Why is total capacity rounded down?

A partial calculated patient cannot be completed, so the conservative planning result uses whole patients only.
