  3. Check the on-page summary, then download the JSON report.

What this tool does

Each page viewport is measured at scale 1. Differences are reported by matching page number, including pages present in only one file.

Width, height, rotation, and derived orientation are compared with a small numeric tolerance.

MediaBox-style rendered dimensions are compared; specialized trim, bleed, and art boxes are not fully preflighted.

Supported formats

This page accepts standard PDF files readable by PDF.js. Password-protected, damaged, unusually large, and dynamic XFA documents may be unsupported.

  • Use original PDFs rather than scans of printed pages.
  • For comparisons, select the older PDF first and the revised PDF second.
  • Verify flagged findings in a desktop PDF viewer before production use.

Can Compare PDF Page Sizes read password-protected PDF files?

A PDF that requires a password may not open. Remove authorized encryption first, then run the inspection again.

What does the downloaded Compare PDF Page Sizes report contain?
